We recently were able to celebrate the wedding of a good family friend that we've known for years. We don't go to many weddings anymore so this was a fun opportunity.
Their wedding rehearsal dinner was the night before and we went kid-free! It was weird to be somewhere without the kids and actually be able to sit down and eat food!
Their wedding was held in the Salt Lake temple the next morning. Fortunately, my dad works a couple blocks away and was willing to watch our girls for about an hour during the temple sealing. Then we were able to meet up with them afterwards so the girls could be at the temple with us.
This was the best picture of the 4 of us we could get.
The girls loved exploring around the temple.
After all that Abby was exhausted!
Elder Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles performed the sealing and he said some pretty profound things about marriage. It really struck me. It's always such a wonderful thing watching two people become ONE in the temple. I love watching them be sealed for time and all eternity. It reminded me of how blessed we are to have our family sealed together.
